Aston Villa: Premier League title dreams over as Unai Emery tries to salvage top-five hopes – BBC Sport https://share.google/luLMZqEUpRtQvV9OV

I'm so over it mate…like BBC actually fuck off smh.

Sidebar…I'm not insinuating that I think we're deffo winning the title we had a slight window. That window has closed now but the bbc insinuating UCL qualifications are in ruin like fuck off it's just irritating cuz I know that's what they want to happen anyways UTV I really hope we find some decent form soon

I’m not gleeful but I am definitely with the nay sayers on this. We just need to hope Chelsea are as bad as we are so we can get 5th.

  2. It was good to hear Keown say on Football Focus today that he still thinks we’ll make it! Edit: sorry, this is for top 5, not title dreams which is what you’re talking about.

We were never title contenders. With all teams being wobbly this year we found ourselves a couple of places higher and the Muppets spun a story wanting it to fail so they can generate content comments.

If we miss champions league by one of the two ways left I’ll start sounding like Danny Murphy sure….

Top 6 is generous now, this team is in shambles, even when we were overperforming and getting good results we were averaging a goal a game *at best*

  5. Its the wild swings that gets me. Villa do not have the 3rd or 4th or even 6th best squad in the league. Villa cannot absorb injuries to key player and cope with European matches and be restricted financially and then it be considered to be failing because they’re not a title race. The insanity of that.

Consider the club that ‘should’ be in Villa’s position in terms of financial power etc. Spurs. Their league position is nothing short of a scandal but people wanna have a go that Villa aren’t challenging Arsenal and City? Give me a fucking break.

I mean this would be absolutely absurd behaviour if we were on a level playing field with the Big Six…which I will remind you, we are not. It takes time. It takes patience. There’s going to be bad losses along the way, sometimes a shite team will beat you because guess what? Its the Premier League and even the shite teams are good.

Our expectations should be that over a season the team have been reasonably competitive in a good area of the table and in majority of competitions. Thats where the bar is. Incremental improvement over the longer term. The overhype when we’re doing well and the psychotic breaks when we’re not are so childish.

    ‘Title dreams.’ Just stupidity.
