Marcus Rashford is very likely to continue wearing the FC Barcelona jersey next season.

For his rights to become the property of Barça, the Catalan club only needs to exercise the purchase option valued at 30 million euros. The payment method has even been agreed with the Old Trafford club, with three annual installments of 10 million euros.

From there, for the final approval from Barça's sporting management, the economic impact of Rashford's signing must be considered, taking into account the length of his contract (three or a maximum of four years, given he's two years shy of thirty) and his salary.

If everything can be adapted to LaLiga's Financial Fair Play regulations, Barça will give the green light to the deal. Rashford is happy at the Camp Nou, where he believes he still has room to grow and recover the exceptional level he reached as a Manchester United player.

There will be no need to negotiate with his representatives because everything has already been agreed upon with the England international since the loan was finalized last July. In other words, there's no need to make him an offer, as the financial terms were agreed upon when his loan was arranged.

He will reportedly sign for three years, earning 12 million euros gross annually plus bonuses.

My only concern before this was the wages. But 12 million plus bonuses sounds very reasonable. Also can’t complain about the 30m. he’s pretty good as a rotational/backup player and adds much needed depth.

i hope he doesn’t become shit after signing the contract like he’s done before, apart from that this is really good news

Season ain’t finished and Deco is already buying him for 30m. Good grief this sporting director. I can only hope he dosen’t become lazy like he did at United when he got that contract.

  4. He likes Barca and have played here for 7 months, seen the culture and team’s chemistry, he will be happy here. He breaches defenders 7 out of 10 times and his combo with Balde and Cancelo (both are speedsters) the left flank will be robust.

So I am guessing they aren’t trying to get him for £20 and a bag of tangtastic harbio, anymore?

It’s a young before anyone gets mad.
