  1. Palace with a possible Mainz>Fiorentina>Rayo>Strasbourg path to the trophy. Wonder if could be the first time a team would play all the teams from Big 5 leagues on the knockout side?

30 years of equal TV deals and continuing to increase them year on year. PL isn’t this strong if United, City, Arsenal etc negotiated their own deals.

You can’t even replicate it now because it’s too late and the PL has gone so global.

It’s definitely concerning for the overall balance of the game

In all honesty English football has gone so stale. it’s great if you support a so called “Big 6” team but outside of that you are completely forgotten and the gaps only going to increase. Used to love talksport but can’t listen to it anymore because 90% is just about arsenal or city and then how bad spurs are, it’s all become a little bit tedious.

Damn what a W for United!

.. wait 9 English teams made it in Europe and United was not 1 of them…

Honestly, the top 2 leagues ( the ones that get 5 spots in the CL) should have no spots in the Conference League.

The Conference is fun because teams that are not that big of don’t have such a big budget play against each other. But then comes the big budgeted team that just sweeps through most teams.

  6. So, does that mean Premier League will, once again, get the ‘extra CL spot for best co-efficient in a season’ thing they do?

  7. The combination of insane TV money plus foreign owners with deep pockets in every club is just not able to be matched by any other club. Not even by us, Real or PSG. The situation will only get worse and worse.

  8. That’s just fucking silly. England should not have 9 out of 20 PL teams in European competition. I’d honestly say it should be top 3 at most from a single league in the CL then the next 2 in Europa and conference.
