Mbappe is a highly intelligent player, and because he’s intelligent, he knows that he has more of a chance to receive the ball at the edge of the box
But he is also a self-centred player. And that is why he refuses to make the sacrificial/decoy runs inside the box, which will open up the space for a better positioned player on the edge of the box.
He also shies away from physical challenges, and would rather not get into duels against burly CBs
If he keeps refusing to do this, he should not be playing as a primary striker.
Our 9 is scared to go in physical duals with defenders as well specially in box which is his job and Bellingham has to do that as well along with covering his laziness off the ball
