      Made me nervous every game he played, which was too many at certain stages. The error in the champions league final almost gave me a heart attack, thank god for Ederson

      He was someone the club got a great deal on when they bought him but also someone you could understand why a club would want to move on from him.

      He was huge in the treble season but there would also be an entirely different feeling on him if Ederson (CL final) and Ortega (Spurs) didn’t pull off some great saves to bail him out in huge moments.

      The error in champions league final with InterMilan, leaving the ball for Ederson, ended up 1v1 with the keeper.

      That first frame…it’s so easy to see how badly he fucked up. He dribbled himself straight into three opposing players. What did he think was going to happen? The smart move was *always* an early pass to either side. Was he gonna make a line-splitting pass up the middle to no one? We let Akanji go at the right time, maybe even a bit late, but…the bozo gene strikes again. *Yikes*.

      yep those bozo genes came in at the most important games too lol.

      but im not gonna be too critical on a player who’s no longer playing at the club. or already on their way out. at the end of the day, we bought him for 15m. we got a 15m player playing 2 remarkable seasons for us. then will probably leave and re-coup back 15m as pure profit. at the end of the day, the reality finally kicked in that he was indeed a 15m player, lol. but when he was good, we won stuff. great memories 👍

      Right when there was heaps of praise for him recently too. Always had that big error in him.

      It’s always bitter sweet with him, we probably don’t score that winning goal in the CL without him 😂
