I was looking to get a good quality retro 95/96 jersey (as I used to have one during that season), but the prices listed are ridiculous! £90 on JD Sports!!!! https://www.jdsports.co.uk/product/blue-adidas-originals-newcastle-united-fc-9596-away-shirt/19733009/

I'm not looking for fake or low quality jerseys, but just something a bit more reasonable price-wise.

    The price is the price

Try searching for discount codes online, that will be your only option to get money off

Ones actually made back in 95/96 will cost even more on eBay / other retro sites & there’s no guarantee you won’t receive a fake one

  2. That’s the price unfortunately. It’s been out for a month, so chances are you won’t get discounts on it for a while yet.
Do you or anyone else have access to a blue light card? JD Sports may honour that if you do.

The only alternative is to look for the Score draw ones, but they lack the Adidas branding.

  3. Like… that’s pretty good value relatively speaking? Last year you’d have spent multiples of that ebay etc

If you don’t want a fake I would say you don’t have any other option than the £90.

Real originals are stupid prices as they are collectables.
The black and white 95-97 shirt never came down in price (from my recollection) and is sold out on the official store.

The away shirt just came out so it’s not going to be going down in price any time soon, if at all.

  5. Don’t be so quick to dismiss fakes/replicas. I remember a couple of seasons ago, my Thai ‘Castore’ one was better quality than the official jersey
