  1. That entire game I couldn’t believe we weren’t losing by more

At the end of the game I couldn’t believe we didn’t win

  2. Probably not enough to stay in the title hunt but another point gained on Hoffenheim. Bring on Bayern.

  3. Would have liked to win at the end but would have easily taken the draw at 2-0 when Diomande was rinsing the defense.

  4. I’ll be honest I was checked out at half time with the 2-0 result. Amazing work to dig deep and turn it around to get a point

  5. Can live with that.

Really don’t understand Kovac when he tries something special, everytime we get nothing from it.

  6. Great comeback considering how bad the first was.
Overall its basically just keeping it the same with us only gaining on Bayer and still needing three losses by Bayern before anything is possible on top.
Also incredible how shit the ref was with him getting everything wrong and robbing us multiple times.

Jobe is the best player today, the only player who spent the full 90 min not making dumb decisions

  8. Guys , we drew but it doesn’t fucking matter . 8 points to bayern instead of 6 . With our difference in GD , it was always going to take 3 Bayern defeats for us to win the title .

In BVB i FUCKING believe . HEJA BVB.

  9. What a second half, overall we played a good game. Shame about Diomande just being an absolutely unreal player against a young Reggiani who I still think did a solid job.

We have so much fight in this team and Adeyemi, Silva, Brandt are an electric attacking setup.

Shame we couldn’t get the win but proud of the guys and so so happy for Silva’s first Bundesliga goal!

  10. Anyone knows if Brandt was offside for his shot? I thought it was clear, but linesman was wild today

Several things true all at once:

    * It’s not the result we needed
    * Taking a point off of Leipzig away after playing midweek is otherwise a result to be satisfied with
    * They successfully opened up our one glaring weakness on defense in the first half
    * No matter what folks said, we were never getting dominated in that game. They had our number in one zone of the pitch and capitalized, but everywhere else we were competitive all game long
    * Our lads kept heart way better than they have in the past
    * That was not a catastrophe, nor is it the end of the line

    Heja BVB

  12. I’ve seen hundreds of VAR penalty calls for less than the Adeyemi scene.

    At this point

    * Make it consistent and introduce VAR challenges.

    * Or be fucking done with it.

Should be happier for a silva goal and the comeback against the cans, but those are still dropped points

  14. This season is different. If we are down by one or two goals, we can fight back and get the draw or more nearly everytime. Great!

  15. I don’t think you have to give the pen to Adeyemi, but if you don’t, the 5 fouls by Ryerson surrounding the situation also weren’t fouls.

  16. Silva what a beautiful baller you are. There aren’t many players I’d rather see score than him

  17. In the beginning of the day I wouldn’t have taken a draw but after that first half, I would’ve have killed for one.

  18. Still waiting for the offside lines. Not clear for me. Why are they not showing them anymore?

  19. Patched together backline, midweek UCL, away at RBL, too many games on our midfield’s legs.

Overall this game was frustrating for 65mins, we were outplayed by a well rested and planned RBL team. Reggiani is just too young and inexperienced to be going up against 2 of the best 4 wingers in the league, away from home, with Anton/Bense as his pairing. Not to mention Ryerson left him out to dry, I had hoped we’d let Beier move to the wingback role for a while, he at least would’ve sprinted back more.

Sabitzer was a black hole, I don’t care what people think in here I personally would rather Brandt than Sabz.

Finally, fuck these refs, so many dirty fouls, two clear pen calls, and 2 goals I still haven’t seen the lines drawn for (this isn’t the ref’s fault but is wild in general), we were nitpicked all game with fouls and couldn’t get a damn call to go our way. This is happening damn near every week, it’s just unreal.

  20. Good job to turn it around after a first half that was as shaky as it was.

Reggiani in a tough position of course, hopefully he can grow from it

The subs were good from Kovac

Jobe was good. Nmecha looked exhausted and not up for it.

Sucks to nearly have won it but in the balance of play I think a tie is fine.

Next two games are undoubtedly more important than this one in the grand scheme of things

  21. Some notes:

    * Loved the fighting spirit in the second half. I also love the football we play when Silva, Adeyemi, Brandt, and Chuk are out there. It just feels quicker and more technical.
    * Jobe and Ryerson for MOTM for me but also shoutout Silva, Adeyemi, and Brandt for making a sub impact.
    * I didn’t like Sabitzer’s appearance this game. Just not impactful enough imo.
    * Reggiani is just not ready for big games. I don’t really want to see him against Bayern. If no CB’s come back in time from injury it should be Ryerson at RCB because I see Reggiani getting ripped apart next game.

  22. First BL goal for Silva, long time coming and well deserved! …coming back from being down two goals could be important for team’s confidence agains Atalanta and Bayern next week…

Imagine if ref called at least one penalty in our favor…

In the end I’d just wish some of us here would keep a bit more positive mindset, reading the game thread was like a doomsayers pandemonium tonight 😀

It hasn’t always been the smoothest ride for him, but im so happy for Silva! Plus it was also great to see the reaction of his teammates. Guirassy after the game, and the young Italian duo in Reggiani and Inacio, in particular.

  24. Starting sabitzer at this position was kovacs big mistake. Bellingham was too central to help reggiani and sabitzer didn’t do shit defending or attacking.
Btw. Playing chukwemeka at the nmecha position looks really promising.

  25. If you could combine the creative though balls of Brandt with the ball carrying ability of Chukwumeka you would have a top class 10.

Brandt definitely has his poor moments and periods where he goes a bit invisible. But it has to be said he probably plays the best decisive Throufh balls in the team, and he has shown up for some big moments this season. I love him as a player, but if he stays next season it’s probably best he is used as a super sub.

Chukwumeka is so talented and so good at carrying the ball through traffic in the center of the pitch. But it’s clear he lacks a bit of chemistry with his brief sub appearances. I’d love to see him play in a midfield triangle with Jobe and Nmecha to build that chemistry and confidence.

Hats off to Silva. Dude deserves every goal and more.
