  1. There’s a better angle where the ball is clearly out of reach of his foot without a major positional adjustment, which he didn’t have time for.

  2. He has reactions slower than my nan. Yeah sure who knows if he would have got there with sharper reactions but at the very least it could cause a ricochet and go in

  3. Shitty blurry images don’t show it watch the clip, he’s on the back foot weight moving backwards and the ball is spinning like a bitch

If he’s unfit, he should be benched. If he’s fit, he should be yeeted out of the club.

initially i thought we have to sell him if hes not going for that but on closer look with other angles its clearly out of his reach. just fell really unfortunately for the poor lad

  6. I was fuming from the first angle it looked like he just stood still with the ball at his feet.

But I think in the angle from behind the goal the balls not actually close to his foot.

  7. Whether he could have reached it or not, his body language just looks so listless and devoid of confidence.

  8. He couldn’t have got to it.

I’m all for advocating having a change up top, but let’s not manufacture reasons. End of the day, he’s a striker who doesn’t score strikers goals.

I thought I rwas going mental reading the comments crucifying him for “not even kicking it”. The side-on angle showed him with all his weight on the other leg (due to momentum) and the next frame the ball is nowhere near him.

He is lacking confidence and chemistry, but to put blame on him for this one is wrong.

But you’d only appreciate that if you saw the other angle, because from the broadcast angle it definitely looked like he just wasn’t switched on.
