There’s a few positions of need. LCB is the glaring answer but I honestly think that’s the only change needed. Despite how people feel about Kounde this year, I don’t think he needs to be replaced, but he does need a proper back up. Would probably be Eric if the club manages to sign a proper partner for Cubarsi. I don’t expect many signings at the back.
Once we add Rashford in the summer, I think our wings are sorted.
Midfield has plenty of depth, but Gavi is a bit of a question mark until proven otherwise. Bernal’s development is going to be interesting. Olmo and Fermin will probably continue to rotate until one of them isn’t getting enough time on the field that they’d feel like they have to move.
Striker is the real question mark. Lewy’s too old to handle anything other than a little role now. Ferran Torres is good but not great, and there’s a spot for him in the team but he’s not likely to be up to the task of starting long term. Anyone better than Ferran is going to cost more than we probably have right now and the money needs to go to a CB first. I’d say that going into next year with no changes in attack (with Lewy taking a pay cut) is in play. Could also see a Lewy departure happening and us taking a flier on a low cost transfer for Joselu/DeJong type profile. I don’t expect anything splashy.

This squad is better than what we are seeing on the field, last season we were all comparing our players including our backline to the best players itw in their position. I know this season has been worse with injuries but Flick shoud learn to adjust, just imagine if we had Joan Garcia last season, we would’ve probably won our 6th UCL.
