One thing that proves that our beloved Juve is lost in its journey back to the absolute elite status we once had is the fact that we bought Di Gregorio to be our first goalkeeper. And i'm not taking a dig at Di Gre alone, because he is just a small problem in the bigger problems that we have. But Di Gre is the perfect example of what i'm trying to get at.

If there's one club in the world that understands goalkeepers, it's Juventus. We are the club that made the world truly appreciate how decisive a world class goalkeeper is in building a dynasty. We didn't just have great keepers, we built eras around them.

You guys see the pattern here. Height. Presence. Aura. Leadership. Big personalities. Big frames. Big moments.

Juventus goalkeepers were never just shot stoppers, they were psychological weapons. They commanded the box. They dominated the air. They organized the defense like generals. When you played Juve, you knew beating the keeper would be a war in itself.

And now we bring in Di Gregorio, a decent keeper, yes. Agile and pretty modern. But he represents a shift in identity. He's not physically imposing. He doesn't dominate aerially in the same way. He doesn't carry that intimidating aura that historically defined our number one.

It's not even about him personally. It's about symbolism.

We, Juventus, used to set standards. Now we seem to adjust to circumstances.

We were the club that understood that to win big trophies, you start from the back. You build around certainty. Around giants. Around leaders who make the extraordinary look routine.

When you replace that archetype with something that feels… smaller, literally and metaphorically, it signals more than just a tactical decision. It signals a shift in ambition.

And that's the painful part. We have lost the ambition we once had.

Because Juventus at its peak didn't follow trends. We defined them. We didn't search for "good enough." We demanded world class.

The goalkeeper shirt at Juve isn't just a position. It's a legacy. That position shows you what state Juventus is currently in.

And right now, it tells us that Juventus no longer demands greatness.
