Number 1: have 5x+ the budget of all but like 4 teams in the competition

the winner last season didn’t top the group.
PSG lost two matches in the league. both of them just before they faced Arsenal in the semi final twice. And they won their league by 19 points with 34 games played.
If I was a betting man, I would put a wager on Bayern.
Premier league teams will be exhausted during their title race as well as from playing more games including one additional domestic cup.

Isn’t the main issue / reason that the Premier League is made up of teams all in the top 40/50 teams in the world.
While other regions/leagues are in the top 50-100 or lower.
It means the domestic league is far more competitive / hard than any Europe competition, except a few exceptions (Barc, Madrid, PSG, etc).

Check the comparative wage bills.
That’s the answer. The Prem has the most money and can afford to pay the best players the most money as a result.
