If you want a laugh have a look at today's Forest Focus pod where Garry Birtles defends his mate Dyche for 45 minutes and tells us all the things that weren't his fault and why the players are all disgraceful prima donnas. Garry seems not to have understood that if you beast your players regularly and call them out in public it might turn out they don't like it.

PS Garry is the man who said Ange had to go because the players weren't having it!

Reminds me of the Championship days, him and Kenny Burns moaning at the players for having no Pashun or Desiah
Not sure how Dyche has managed to fraud his reputation so high, he was absolutely diabolical at Everton and always played shit football
I do think the players need to take a little blame. They have a history of this where if they don’t like a manager, they stop playing and go off to Marinakis, who sacks the manager. You should still play your best regardless of your opinion of the manager. Tough players respond to criticism by proving the person wrong.
Please don’t misinterpret this as Dyche support. He deserves most of the blame. Birtles is too far the other way
It’s been a shit show and we’ll see a mass clear out and rebuild. What we need is a clear plan top to bottom with everyone buying into it from pre-season.
This should not involve Edu at all.
If there’s one thing Birtles does better than anyone else I’ve ever come across, it’s whinge and moan. He’s one of the most negative people I’ve ever listened to. Even when he’s on co-comms for TV he rarely has anything positive to say about anything he’s watching. If you’re negative about everything, you’re gonna end up contradicting yourself eventually.
Dyche is an excellent choice for a club with no expectations, such as Burnley. If you give him the time to build the club up, he’ll do a solid job and the players will do the ‘non-negotiables’ very well. Eventually though, you have to move on. The non-negotiables are non-negotiables for a reason; they’re the bare basics you build from. Unfortunately for Dyche, he seems incapable of moving on from that stage and taking it to the next level.
