Rather see Bastoni punished. La Penna had a horrid match altogether anyway but first glance it genuinely looked like a foul. Obviously it wasn’t and the real issue is VAR not being used for clear & obvious errors like it was intended to & instead is used to find any possibility in the world to disallow goals or not give penalties 😂

this is a multi layered, 1) everyone questioned why La Pena was sent o ref that match as he is not a International Ref, 2) Bastoni made all this happen and will get 0 Punishment. 3) la Pena will get suspended for 1 month and that resolves nothing. and 4) Kalulu will get 2 weeks ban. So at the end the Person that caused this mess get nothing and all the “innocent” by standards get punished

The people who care more about Bastoni than the referees are the ones who have a certain agenda. Okay fine Bastoni dived and there was a clear contact by Kalulu.
– Should Bastoni suspended? If yes, so is there any rule that talks about this.
– Should players who show unsportsmanlike acts be punished from now on? Will there be consistency in all games

But the issue is more about the referees in general we saw another BAD decision in Parma-Verona and many teams in general. What can we do referees in general who have zero interpretation of VAR, quick to book players or rules with so many discrepancies. In the end Bastoni and Kalulu will both serve their consequences but the referees will remain the issue.
