Say what you will about the undeniable absurdity of four managers in a season, this firing doesn’t have the usual stink of Marinakis madness. There was no wild lead up or outburst. This seems to be the result of dissatisfaction across the club. In a game where the managers job was on the line, the play seemed completely devoid of tactics or willingness from the players. Thats a dangerous combination. I have no idea who we could possibly bring in to reignite the pashun, other than maybe bringing Frank and MGW together, otherwise we will just be in the same situation.

Fans have to account for this. I’ve already seen some calling it “speculation” and trying to deny it. But these same people seemingly had no issue when the players rebelled against Skippy the Bush Kangaroo. The fact is the players didn’t like Dyche’s methods either and didn’t trust them. And regardless of if you believe that or not its a fact Marinakis spoke with them and nothing they said saved Dyche. Let that sink in.
Wouldn’t surprise me. Dyche is the type of manager to throw players under the bus, happened with Abbott and happened alot at Everton. Wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t a particularly easy manager to work with
i mean it’s one of those, where if you look at the form and win/loss record you’ll probably think why we’ve done that? but we’ve all got eyes and the football has been dire and it’s easy to blame the players but, dyche also has to be blamed… how many games have we lost due to set pieces after dyche refused to hire a set-piece coach?
tactically we’ve been awful, long balls to nowhere crosses being shite and still insisting on them, that’s not the players that’s how they’ve been told to attack in the final third, the slow counter-attacks… a lot of that falls to dyche.
also at the time i thought dyche was good appointment with the idea of “at least he’ll make us hard to beat” but we haven’t even managed that, have we? we’re barely hanging on and struggle do the bare fucking minimum.
and at least if we are to make a fourth appointment, this is the time to do it as a final throw of the dice and whoever comes in will at least have week to work with the players and try and implement something compared to being thrown into the deep-end.
The good thing about player disharmony is that you normally get a new manager bounce when they appoint a new one.
He had lost the players and that’s why he had to go.
If you have lost the squad you are a dead man walking.
Let’s increase player power again
He lost the squad? The same squad that couldn’t put a single ball in the back of the net after 35 attempts! A manager can of course change tactics or style of play but a team of professional football players who cannot score after 35 attempts against arguably the worst Premier team ever then I am not sure what the manager is meant to do other than give them a bollocking…
It’s time we also look at the players. They played like shat and deserve a chunk of the blame. At this point it all needs to burn down and rebuild from the ground up. Gonna be a long long time back
Hopefully with the new manager they put in effort on the pitch
