  1. Ibra is taller than VVD bit equally mobile and strong. The boy look's like a beast of a player…can't see many forwards wanting to play against those two..

  2. I reckon we'll treat him the same as Fabinho and Robbo when they first signed. Will probably not see him in the team for a couple months as we play a fit Gomez/Matip at first, but then slowly integrate him into the team.

  3. I was mad excited for Thiago. Still am. But given our troubles at the back and the nail-biting finish to this season, Konate has me squirming in anticipation. Imagine VVD next to him with Fab/Thiago/Henderson (or Jones even) as a mid 3.

  4. I have a friend who, back in the day, played football with Konate at a youth academy. He is a retired French footballer who goes by the name of moisseur Lala Princhy.
Konate, or as lala princhy says, konatay, is an amazing talent, even back then.
And not only in defence, he has the ability to take the ball from the keeper and run down the middle of the pitch, dribbling his way towards goal with his silky skills.
One time, in the youth academy, 8 players were sent off on the team. Konate, lala princhy and the keeper, a Mr Steve Peeulash were the only players left in the team. Between them they scored 4 goals and 1 own goal, and won the match 5 – 2.
It is one of the finest displays of football you will ever see. I think there's footage of it on you tube somewhere, but I can't locate it.
Princhy had an eye for the ladies however, and started dabbling, having late nights and fornicating on a regular basis. He told me the romping became his training session, and his carnal desires were out of control. This led to him pulling his hamstring and his groin, and had to pull out from the sport altogether, as he never fully recovered. It was his weakness. He often tells people whilst waving his arms about.., "your weakness, my weekness, ewerybodies weakness".
He told me how he once dated a French maid called Fanny. (or Fanchette in French).
He bonked Fanny for hours mid week then played 90 min on the weekend, then returned to Fanchette on the Monday for another "training sesh". This went on for a few weeks, until eventually the French maid retired. She was 21 yrs old.
    Apologies, I digress..
Konate went on to play for many teams and has now ended up at Liverpool. He has promised to dedicate his first goal to his old friend Princhy..
Konate is a very good buy and time will tell if he is a success at anfield, but from what princhy has told me, he will be a huge success, specially pairing up with vvd.

  5. It's called intelligent recruitment instead of spending £80 million on a walking sofa that beats up police outside a gay bar in Greece. Oh wait….Man United did that.
