  1. Watkins and Onana fit to start is good

Interesting that he’s gone Digne and Mings and left Maatsen and Pau on the bench

  2. The year is 2048. AI players take the place of traditional footballers.

Aston Villa are starting a back 4 of Digne Mings Konsa Cash.

It’s weird but with all the injuries I’d somehow forgotten we can still field a very solid team. I guess I was getting a little doomy.

I thought that we’d play Pau so that he could play through the Bournemouth press but it looks like we’re going to look to go long with Mings instead. Interesting.

  5. I like the line up. Pretty standard. Would have preferred Mings against Brentford and Torres against these cos Evanilson is not as physical a striker as Thiago. It is what it is. Lets go get this win.

  6. Fuck me do we look much less threatening without McGinn, Tielemans and Kamara in there. Just brutal injuries

  7. 2 keepers on the bench rather than Hemmings, who also didn’t feature for the U21s last night. Hope he’s not injured.

  8. A midfield duo of Douglas Luiz and Douglas Luiz’s replacement.

Hopefully Onana can do the dirty work, so Dougie has more freedom

No Elliot. With Barkley back in the fold he’s basically done. Liverpool took a year of his life away. Shame.

  10. Mings and Digne is the right call against some very good wing play and the strength of Evanilson. Getting a player like Digne but younger is vital for this summer imo. Maatsen is good but never been fully an Emery guy
