One big complaint last night was the set pieces. We had Anderson on set pieces constantly firing the ball into outer space. We are led to believe modern football is all about set pieces and that Dyche is even a set piece manager. So what the fuck is going on if he is happy to let a guy who cannot place a dead ball in the right area carry on doing them? Then there is tactics. Leeds targeted our right side early on and Dyche did NOTHING to counter it (which led to two goals for them). At half time he made no subs even though we were at 2-0 down in a game against a direct rival. On the hour he basically gave up, took off our supposedly best players and was seemingly happy to take the L. The fact is it is often embarrassing how bad we are at even the basics of the game. We can't put in a free kick. We can't take a corner. Only Wolves have scored less goals than us because all too often we offer no threat. We can't be blaming what happened under Ange forever. We have to question Dyche's management ability.

Dycheh is like someone playing football manager with a downloaded tactic and is shit scared to change it mid game.

Everton at Home being the other example of nearly 50 crosses in the box, but we all knew after the 5th got headed away that wasn’t going to work

  2. Worse than that, he sets us up defensively but the irony is we’re not great at defending and it also blunts our ability to go forward, so lose-lose. I don’t know why Hutchinson is out of favour – presumably because he takes on players rather than hoofing it into the box to our only striker who is probably on the wing anyway.

I hope they just sit the whole team down and go through every corner in the video analysis and just unpick what happened at each

‘Yeah the taker, you Elliott, delivered a shit ball’

And just do that excruciatingly over and over again

Too negative – how many moving parts can a team/manager manage at once:

    New goal keeper
    Williams suspended
    Murillo injured
    Ania played out of position
    Nets/Luca are new additions
Jesus/Ndoye/Hutchinson if we are generous are still finding their place in the team (maybe to generous).

It’s a bad game, we need to learn the lessons and get the new players up to the right level asap.

    Keep the faith.

  5. On BBC radio Nottingham he said that he would have probably started Netz if he had to do anything different.

Basically seemed to hang Zach Abbott out to dry even though I think most supporters could recognise that he is very young and not playing in his actual position. It doesn’t acknowledge all of the other stinkers that players had or that the tactic seemed to be for Dominguez to sit centrally which just exposed that area of the pitch massively.

I think what irritates most about that though is that if he recognised it wasn’t going well then at half time being 2 goals down, he could still have made that decision rather than keeping things exactly the same until being 3 goals down and then waiting to the point of having 20 odd minutes to try and overcome a 3 goal deficit.

I think Forest realistically need a point a game to stay up and I do think Dyche will achieve that but its not going to be pretty and should be easier than hes making it.

  6. Against most teams Hutchinson needs to start. He is the only player capable of putting a good ball in. Against the tougher teams starting Dominguez is fine as we need to swamp the midfield.
