Kounde at CB is what I want 🕺🏻🔥
my theory is when attacking situation, kounde goin to wide right center back position and frenkie de jong/eric garcia going to be center back position. so cancelo can focus on that right side to overload the right wing position with lamine yamal. it's almost the same strategy that pep mancity ucl champions season. but instead of the wing back playing attack pep play wing back to midfield. i don't know if this is going to be amazing but at least we have another option to attack.
hope hansi flick could really pull this cancelo move 🤞

More and more liabilities in the starting lineup that cannot defend for their lives. One counter and all HELL breaks lose. Good luck in the Cl as its going to be another embarrasement this year. Araujo is done and won't be playing anymore in big games, so I am curious to see who gets the blame for the 1000 goals Barcelona are going to concede. My money is on the less techinical players like Ferran, Raphina or gerard Martin as they will be the goto blame poles now while some other steal a the living at the top in that 11.

what does this guy not understand, it's a luxury rotation option for flick… only 4 mil for a player of cancelo's caliber is perfect.
For 4m we got a player that can cover RB and LB. He will not be in first team but he will be great to cover Kounde or Balde and Kounde could play some games as CB. Amazing deal if you ask me and i bet that they decided to go for Cancelo after City lost two CB's in one game and one of them is lost for this season so Ake will have to stay in City. Other options that they could signs are just ridiculous – old and useless – waste of money.

Who needs defence, Joan garcia will solo everyone while all the outfield players are in the opponents box ofcourse
João while having a less defensive profile than Kounde, with either Eric at CB with Pau or Eric as the CdM/double pivot can provide that defensive need with João playing at RB where he has a better profile winning balls with his pressing than Kounde, which with Hansi's style benefits the system/model of play. So it def depends on what the overall strategy & mini tactical battles are required for when he'll play, aside from giving Kounde & Balde rest against 'weaker' teams. The other thing is that João will def fit into Hansi's caja (midfield box) system from a backline standpoint, from the RB & LB positions, which allows the forwards & midfielders more freedom up top. It's an interesting option at minimum.
Also, Eric has played at CB pretty much all his career, until Xavi so did Kounde, and Gerard played a significant portion of his career as a 2-man CB & a 3-back CB – Pau is not the only CB. It's more about the profile that Hansi needs for CB for the system/model of play, and right now the best pair we have is Pau-Eric & then Pau-Gerard.
João will likely be the only winter signing since we can only spend between 5-6m for the rest of the season. We will need to wait until summer for any signings.
Eric Garcia has not been significantly worse than kounde at RB. Defending or going forward

Kounde's regular position is CB. He always was just filling in the RB position. The Cancelo deal is why because Kounde doesn't want to play as a RB anymore.
This is a Barca team he should thrive in.

He’s can cover for BOTH Balde and Kounde or Kounde/Garcia can play CB don’t remember De Jong and Cancelo will be in the team. Basically Flick can do a lot and experiment different players in different positions

Maybe Kounde will play as CB mor often, Cancelo isn’t bad option, we have olenty matches he will be okey against weaker teams, he can play us right winger or some, for that money it’s better to have Cancelo than to not have
I’m Portuguese and I absolutely love this move for cancelo. It’s 100% because he wants to play in Europe to get to absolute peak levels before the World Cup. Same thing for Joao Felix, I think Ronaldo brought him to Saudi to get him scoring goals and playing freely because when he’s at his best he is also one of our best forwards in the Portuguese national team.

Cancelo will be a fantastic squad player, he’s not coming in to be a starter. Martin and cubarsi have locked down the cb spots recently so we had other no reliable lb to come in for Balde, which is what killed us later last season when Balde was injured for big matches. Cancelo can come in against lower level teams to give Balde more rest and competition.
I think we are gonna see Kounde playing center back again since cubarsi this season hasnt really been defensively solid enough. Then cancelo can ocupy right back in those games, and we brings very necesary depth to the leftback postition. Great signing imo
Bruuh a 15 min rant on a 6 month loan signing seems unfair🥲😭. I think flick will play him on the right side whenever he plays and i think it won’t be that bad. Xavi hardly played him at lb and however good he can plan as lb its not his natural position.

Hes gonna rotate with balde so that barca keeps the left back position competetion healthy. And saying cancelo is bad defensively. Have you seen balde defending? If anything hes better than balde in crosses and the final decisions

3. Flick chose "Cancelo on loan," and figure out the rest as the season progresses.
