Despite his form, he’s too good not to be playing CL football every season. I feel without CL next summer he’ll possibly be sold off to fund a bit of a squad rebuild.

I think we all know how this ends. its highly unlikely Tonali will play for us in 18 months time imo. We need to ensure we receive proper value for a player of his quality either this summer or the next. Then we must actually spend the transfer funds intelligently this time.
Our position in the food chain means we can’t become Arsenal/liverpool without dealing with player departures. This isn’t negativity, its just how football under PSR works.
