Are we now playing Elliott to reach the 10 appearance threshold asap so we have sole decision making what happens next and when. Seems like no matter what this deal will cost us it’s just a matter of how much and when can we free the money up to get someone we want?

If we’re banking on Palace taking Guessand, maybe we’ve had a change of heart
I’m still not convinced that we’re going to play him ten times. I think we’re using him because we’re desperate but Emery still seems quite steadfast that we won’t be activating the clause.
Question – do we have to renegotiate the transfer terms within the window or nah?
Probably more likely we end up playing him, paying the £35m, and then trying to sell him on in the summer
Emery already said the position on him hasn’t changed. We will not be obliging the buy clause.
