  1. Still long way to go, injuries could still play a part. Saka and Merino out now, if no replacement this means Rice/Zubimendi and or Madueke has to play 90mins often. This could cause injury to them due to overplaying.

Either way, still could see Arsenal over the line. This simply because despite Haaland attacking quality, the defense is suspect.

The old adage of attack win matches but defense wins championship cannot be more true, at this stage.

not done yet. arsenal have 3 “big” games still to play in the league which i think the city game could end up being crazy difficult if they end up drawing them in the ucl and make the efl cup final. saw somewhere that it would mean they play city 5 times in the space of 6 games if that happens.

  3. Exhibit one: Villa score a brilliant goal that probably would have changed momentum. The VAR go all the way to a minute back to deem the ball outside of play to cancel the goal. Villa lose all momentum and lose the game.

Exhibit two: Solanke kicks Guehi’s legs to guide the ball to goal. The VAR doesn’t even review the kick and award the goal. City lose momentum and Spurs make a comeback.

The inconsistency in the refereeing within the same league is crazy considering the period of play VAR reviewed on both the instances.

It’s almost as if the refs want Arsenal to win this league. Not much of a fight when you have the refs doing everything for you.
I sincerely hope PGMOL pick up and scrap/ improve this bs version of whatever VAR we have currently.

I know I’ll get downvoted by Arsenal fans but surely this incompetent refereeing has to improve at some point so that we can have good, fair games. Worst ‘title race’ in recent memory. At least last year, the challengers were genuinely shit.

doku and semenyo playing consistenly will be key for man city because i do not see city challenging for title with the defensive display they are showing

city should forget about defense and score more goals. thats the only way they are going to win and challenge for titles

it’s too early to judge the title winners. yes villa and city have dropped points but surely arsenal will also drop points against the matches remaining of playing the big 6. You cannot rule out that. probably around april, we’ll get a clearer picture about who will win this title and how the gap changes.
