It’s not that big of a deal and I’m not gonna lose sleep over it. I understand why he wanted to go to Udinese and not our U-23 team because he was already first team in Croatia. But I also understand that we didn’t want to fold in negotiations with a youngster and his dad. Hopefully he benefits from the move and if we really want him, who knows, maybe we make an offer in the future. Wish him the best of luck!

It would be funny if he doesn’t play there either.

Game time is what it’s all about. We could have bought him and Udinese would not have loaned him from us because teams look at return on investment(in this case developing a player that in future would be sold for decent money)

We’re notoriously bad at developing youngsters. Look how few players get promoted to the first team. And when they do it’s because they went out on multiple loans first. He made the decision he thought was right for his career and you can’t fault him

Eh, I have a hard time getting too worked up about our failure to sign an 18-year-old center back who hasn’t even played a full season at the senior level yet. Chances he would have actually seen the pitch in an Inter shirt any time soon seem like they would have been slim. Udine possibly a better move for him at this point in his career.

reasonable cause Inter want to send him to U23. Why should he play the third level when he can play in the first level.
