  1. Fabregas? That was just Ausilio’s wet dream, Marotta didn’t even try to talk to him.

With Leoni there wasn’t anything, not even talks. Leoni himself said it recently.

Manu Kone, Ivan Perisic. Curtis Jones will follow soon. I just don’t understand how management can fail so many times and somehow Chivu continues to get 120% from most of the players.

  3. We fail all these negotiations cz we keep insisting with this loan crap at first. No, if you want to be seen as a serious club, serious buyer, you make a serious offer, cash upfront. Don’t have money? Then stay away from buying from abroad. In Italy these things work almost all the time, but buying from abroad very likely. We need to get rid of this bad habit we have, with the loan crap and “oh idk maybe an option to buy in summer” , no, this has to stop, we make a fool of ourselves and other clubs think we are a joke. Especially since last year we earned 120mil€ from Champions League. We didn’t spend all last summer, so theoretically we still have something left.

If you guys wanted to just feel the thrill of getting everyone, including the guys you don’t even like, why not just support Madrid or City?

Inter hasn’t been in a position to get high end guys since Massimo Moratti came initially, ironically we did better when we stopped collecting every new shiny toy infront of us.

  5. I get why it could be frustrating but this isn’t as easy as other European clubs might make it look.

We are trying to balance fiscal responsibility with signings that improve the squad, and that’s a tough tight rope to manage. We can’t do like 40m for Diaby or 60m for lookman or what have you.

Frankly, we’ve done well the signings we have secured over the seasons. Until our financial situation gets us to a point where we can compete on the transfer market (maybe not feasible for Italian clubs), we’re doing well with what we have.
