Someone wondered on the Guessand to Palace rumour thread if Elliott might get a shout now we are potentially freeing up £30m.

Is there any chance that Liverpool have said that they’ll remove the option if we can prove that he’ll actually get game time? As in, this is a sign of good will, and if he starts getting game time, then we can play him for the rest of the season?
We’ve all imagined that Villa just want rid, but maybe in an ideal world he manages to contribute and we’re not locked into that £35m fee- that allows us to have a proper look at the player, and if he shows his worth, we could then renegotiate a better fee?
Or its a one-off game and appearance, and our squad is down to bare bones? Maybe I’m just reading too much into this (but then many of us were right to read into Elliott’s lack of game time as the season went on).
