Fifty. Million. Pounds.
We aren’t attracting world class players with how we are at the moment. It’s inevitable we’ll recruit players out of favour or form if we aren’t recruiting from South America.
Sounds likely. Condition being we hit their valuation (£40m) and they have a replacement before the window shuts.
Give me Mateta at £35m-£40m over Strand Larsen at £50m.
He will go spurs
It’s like a shit merry-go-round.
Positives:
* We didn’t sign Strand Larsen.
* We didn’t spend £50m on Strand Larsen.
* Palace spent £50m on Strand Larsen.
* Mateta – on his good days – is a brilliant PL striker.
* JPM is another three-namer to join MGW and CHO.
Negatives:
* Mateta is not playing very well this season.
* Mateta is 28.
* We’re rumoured to have offered him a shitload of money.
* We’re probably going to give Palace a shitload of money.
We need goals badly, could be the difference between being in or out of the PL
Apparently we are offering Mateta large wages which have got his attention even though he wants Champions League. But Strand Larsen at 50 mill is a joke. Football is nuts.
I can’t see mateta coming here. He’ll probably stay at palace till the summer if he doesn’t get a bigger club come in for him
