I doubt he starts with their current midfield clicking, maybe he gets in over Hannibal, but he’d probably be a decent depth option for them especially while Cullen is out – assuming they’d move away from the midfield three when he’s on the pitch, they’re down and out if he’s meant to play in a double pivot.
I also very much doubt he can be the change to see them up the table which is why I’d imagine we’re facilitating it.

With him gone we are somehow a bit thin on midfielders again! We now have Soucek, Fernandes, Magassa, Potts, and Kante…..
I know Nuno needs to rebalance the squad but it’s the 28th of Jan, he doesn’t have much time left!!!!

I hate to say it, but this very much seems like the club having a clear out of high earners in anticipation of relegation.
JWP, Paqueta, and Fullkrug to a lesser extent were top earners. Fullkrug will be off in the summer regardless of what happens and this should boost his value.
Guido was on middle to high because he came on a free. Igor probably about the same level and not being used.
Guilherme has gone for the highest fee we could get, knowing that his value would likely decrease in the summer.
It’s all sensible business, but its very unusual for us to have so many transfers in the winter, even if we have brought others in. But we’ve just massively slashed the wage bill. I’d be surprised if the incoming 3 players are anywhere near those pay levels.
Taty probably the highest earner on maybe 70-90? JWP was nearing the same money as Paqueta and Bowen.
