Pre-match press conference with Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku ahead of Man City v Galatasaray at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League.
Doku says finishing in the top eight is “very important” to avoid two extra games, adding that less games means more rest and hopefully less injuries.
He confirms he missed the trip to Norway after taking a knock to his knee but says he feels good now.
Doku also talks about the physical treatment he gets in matches, insists he is “not a diver”, and says it is up to officials to judge whether challenges are a foul, yellow or red.
He reacts to Arsenal losing and admits it is better for City, while also saying Manchester United played very well.
Doku finishes by explaining how he adapts his decision making in crossing situations for Erling Haaland and why he is enjoying playing more inside this season.

in the 65 years that i have been following city and watching football in general i have seen some wonderful wingers,and the one thing they all had in common is that they all actually looked better players when they drifted inside,it's as if being a winger hampered their real talent.Some people saw this,like the late great Jimmy Murphy at united who once said that if he had stanley Mathews he would have played him as an inside forward,and our own Malcolm Alison made the decision to switch Mike Summerbee from his preferred right wing position to centre forward,and he was a revelation ,so much so that many people,myself included believe that that was the deciding factor for us winning the league in 1968.Doku is in the same category a she looks a really good footballer when he drifts inside,he;s an excellent winger but i do like to see him come inside,

Best player but Doku needs to learn to run behind defenders and start scoring goals in his career. He gets so many opportunities for the behind runs but he relies on dribbles a lot.

I think from my point of view Pep Guardiola deliberately excluded Doku from the last UCL match because he believed the team that would play against is weak and doesn't need to take Doku to Norway and justify his absence due to injury reason and that let Pep complain against the referees and apply pressure against them to make a benefit toward city side like they did last 6 sessions because he doesnt able to win nothing without referees help. I believe in conspiracy theories.
