How stupid to say it's "unfair." The reason Villa "can't compete" at the moment is that they gained a benefit, by cheating, earlier. They spent more than they were allowed to, in 2023, knowing they would be sanctioned – and that overspending got them into Europe. Simon Jordan knows this.

I am entertained by Simons opinions but he knows more about business than football. It is an incredible signing for Spurs, several seasons in the UCL for a top foreign club under a top manager, Spurs needing to control midfield better, partnership with Paulinha, 25 years old, will hold value being English, homegrown quota etc

Kind of contradicting himself here, will only make Spurs marginally better but would've been better off at Villa? As a Spurs fan, Villa are well ahead of Spurs at the moment, if he only makes Spurs marginally better, hes warming the bench at Villa. I don't think either is the case really, not gonna set the world alight attacking but will at least look to get the ball to the forwards, unlike the dms they have already.
