I’ve never seen the beautiful game conducted overall in such a poor manner as this tournament in Africa.
It was not just players or managers either. When the stadium staff begins interfering with the teams during match you have lost all control and respect for the game.

If the shenanigans had started only when the referee disallowed the Senegalese goal in injury time then we could have a conversation. When you take into account everything that happened before the match, the whole tournament really, then you just can’t fault Thiaw for being fed up by that point!

As a Moroccan here are my talking points.
1. Senegal was slightly better and deserves the win.
2. Thiaw should be suspended for his conduct for few games and not banned from the world cup.
3. Senegalese fans that stormed the pitch and attacked the security guards should face the law.
4. Those that tried to remove the towel from Mendy also should be punished. It has Vodoo or not…do no touch it. If Vodoo worked most African countries would be world champions by now.
5. Right before the final everyone was praising Morocco’s hospitality, infrastructure, food, culture and having a good time up to the final. That tells us that many people are easy to persuade (Moroccans or non Moroccans} and be used through a game. We are very weak and easy to manipulate.
The game should stay on the pitch and shouldn’t create animosity between humans/Africans.

By the way guys by CAF and Fifa rules towels should not be placed in such a close proximity to the goal. The Moroccan ball boys over exaggerate on this issue and it should’ve been left to the referee. Is not the towel itself but what’s in the towel. And we had many fights between african teams over Juju removals. Zambia vs senegal Juju fight checking on youtube.
