He is back in the game as a member of UEFA’s Technical Observer Panel.

Each member of the panel, who have either major playing or managerial experience at the top level of the game, deliver in-depth reports from UEFA’s Champions League matches based on the newest updates in coaching, tactical and playing styles.

Names included in the 2025/26 line up includes Roy Hodgson, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Rafa Benitez and former England manager Gareth Southgate.
