Result will lead to a lot of heated discussions but think the truth sits somewhere in the middle. We absolutely showed up without showing any effort in the first 20 Minutes but the bullshit Red also killed any chance we had to return. Which we definitely could have considering our whole thing is having multiple personalitys. Top 8 has now been thrown away again and now i have to spend half my free time in some calculators too see how fucked we are to even get into the next round.
Another day at the office. Play a shit first half, then a ‘better than shit’ second half. For the loss just blame the ref lol. Now onto the contract extension for Brandt and Can.
I knew I could depend on my beloved football team to absolutely ruin my day
If we go into next season with the same people that have been responsible for the planning of our club over the last few seasons then we won’t go anywhere.
This result should NEVER be reviewed as a once off
Mein Herz schmerzt
Lifetime contract for Brandt and Can will fix everything
Guirassy and Brandt should be banned from the starting 11 for the foreseeable future. Silva immediately came on and made the difference. He and Jobe seemed to be the only good things outside Kobel today.
So.
We were diabolical. No two ways about it.
Spurs’ goal kinda woke us up (Brandt, mate) and we started somewha getting into the game (Adeyemi falling basic ball control when he’s through on goal).
That red was genuinely just unbelievable BS. That is not a red. And it certainly is not a clear and obvious error level of red that necessitates VAR intervention.
Spurs would have likely won anyway.
Good cardio session for Union.
Who would have guessed that starting an invisible brandt, an invisible and out of form guirassy and 2-braincells adeyemi wouldnt work out?
what did kovac expect? we have 3 guys up top who just walk around the pitch and dont provide much, leaving the midfield and defense hanging while also not being great outlets. jesus fucking christ
I’m changing my name to Sebastian Kohl and applying for the SD job
So many things wrong with this club. Team doesn’t have enough quality, manager doesn’t seem to know how to score goals and the board are useless.
It’s going to be a while before there’s any real change at the club, don’t know if I can sit through years of this
Champions league: Here Dortmund, heres an easy top 8.
Dortmund: No thanks
Tough to judge. Started like absolute shit, could see there was a chance to get into the game and red card killed it.
Happy about the push and control in the second half but that 2 goal lead made sure Spurs could ride it out defensively.
Really unfortunate for us but that Bodo game was the one we needed to win.
Can’t say much else we move on.
Not a red, he was going for the ball and spurs player ran into him. Bullshit decision.
Silva needs to start over Guirassy.
Adeyemi needs ball control and passing lessons, pace is not enough.
Jobe and Nmecha deserve all the praise.
Playing Couto against two tall and strong players on the left was a bad decision.
Emre Can was surprisingly good – but people will still hate.
Just out played. The red card was a joke and took any sting we had on it the game. All we need is a win vs inter anyways.
fucking English commentators are the worst. I was annoyed 3X more because of what they were saying.
I love Brandt, but today, man it was frustrating to see him. And I dont really know what the plan was with Guirassy starting.
Thank you silva and chukwuemeka for actually trying to play football today
The rest should feel ashamed of themselves
I think a lot of the frustration from fans comes from the fact that it simply doesn’t feel like we have anything to look forward to. It seems like from top down, the club’s ambition is to make top 4 and get out of the group stage of the CL. If we’ve accepted we’re never going to win the league or the CL ever again, it’s all just a bit dreary.
Why am I seeing Nmecha and Bellingham hate? If it were not for their defensive presence (especially Bellingham), it would have ended 5:0. The forwards and defenders, especially at the start of the game, were doing those two no favors.
Basically, BVB:

And they’re gonna extend Brandt because you can’t find someone with his “quality” for a good price lmfaooooooo
Edit: Schlotterbeck’s defensive performances have been mediocre at most since the injury, with the amount of money he’s asking for you’d think he’s playing like prime Hummels.
I am not even mad about such results anymore… But seeing the team have no idea on what to do, no attacking will, no spark… That feels just awful. I just hope this summer overhaul is real, we need one and we need to get it straight…
I love how we had a miraculous finish to last season to make the UCL only to have our worst UCL in years
Where was nemecha in the first half?
Silva should get every minute his body is able to play
It always feels as if they are not well-rehearsed and coordinated. That makes sense, given the many changes to the starting line-up.
Nevertheless, the potential is there. I hope Kovac and co. manage to continue shaping the team next year.
Heja BVB
Don’t see how this team gets past the knockout round. This season whenever there is a decent-quality opponent, this team folds under pressure. We have to claw and fight just to get by the minnows in the Bundesliga. Really annoying to lose to 14th-place Tottenham, who continue to master BVB whenever they play. I’m all for getting a new manager like Xabi Alonso, but I bet he’d rather go back to B04 than try to fix this absolute mess…
We have gotten spanked by every good team this year.
The roster is awful. We’re not physical, we’re not fast, we’re not technical.
We do a bit of everything but nothing at a high level. We spend 30 million on players that aren’t even good enough to be subbed…
Absolute horrific squad building.
And while we’re on the subject of mediocre players, I HATE how 90% of them play like they are saving themselves for next week’s CL final or some shit… Zero urgency, zero passion.
Just pure ass.
And don’t come with this undeserved red card, that shit could have broken the dude’s leg, and that attack on any one of our players we’d be calling for red.
Not like it matters, even with 11 we looked like a 3rd league team vs professionals.
