Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic was applauded by the media as he entered a press conference on Saturday morning.
The night before, his side shocked the world to beat 2022 World Cup favourites Brazil via a penalty shootout.
The game had finished 0-0 after 90 minutes, but Tite’s Brazil seemed to have secured victory thanks to a piece of brilliance from Neymar in extra time.
But Croatia remained steadfast and took the game to penalties thanks to a Bruno Petkovic equaliser in the 117th minute.
Dalic’s men scored all four of their spot-kicks. Rodrygo and Marquinhos both missed their efforts for Brazil, sending through the underdogs 4-2 after the shootout.
