  1. Cut him loose. Asking to be left out of the squad and now he’s reporting a knock making him a doubt for Tottenham doesn’t scream motivated. He doesn’t want to be here and clearly doesn’t have the minerals needed for a relegation fight.

While i think, no chance this is even an option, i can imagine Sullivan suggesting it. Just sell him, he has been pretty awful the last 2 seasons

  3. What other club operates in this way? This should all make sense at least to a few people so why does it never make sense with this clown show of a football club.

  4. Maybe it’s just good enough – he can see the light at the end of the tunnel and knows what his future is. It’s not the worst compromise I’ve ever seen.

Reckon that’s BS. He’s hardly going to try if this happens. Sell. Play Fernandes further forward with potts with one of Mangassa/Kante/Soucek behind. Or play Soucek as the 10 to cause mayhem with Fernandes and Potts behind. Use the £40m and get in a quality centre back, and then try and loan Maguire/Diasi/Sterling etc.

  6. he clearly doesnt want to play premier league anymore why would he ever accept this like … he said no to chelsea , tottenham etc that are higher in table than us , just let the man go already . the problem is clearly not money so let him go , our club aint a prison

  7. Sell him and use the money for players who actually want to be here. Why we want to try and keep him on loan I don’t know. He has been pretty poor the last few games. I really hope this doesn’t drag on as we need new players now.

  8. I haven’t recovered from the dive at Villa in the FA cup and the intentional red card he took for dissent. He’s talented but a seemingly a bad teammate. Let him go

  9. i dunno, i get it. He wants to go home, we want 50 large for him and Flamengo aren’t getting near that. This seems like an attempt at a compromise to me – we’ll drop our asking price, but not for nothing. He joins the scrap for the last half of the season then so long farewell no more negotiations required.

Makes no sense for flamengo to ever accept this, once the PL season ends he will still want to leave, and now west ham won’t be able to get anything close to 40m for him.

Is it worth it to lose 10M+ in the hopes that he’s the difference maker in not getting relegated?

  11. My god if he wants to leave let him go. No good has ever come of making someone stay at a team they don’t wanna play at, he also gets cards like I collect bars of chocolate. Just let him go whilst we’re only half way through January and we can replace him
