I was livid at the time. I loved this man so much and he broke my heart, but it’s a massive testament to what he did for us and how likeable that he was that I forgave him and just loved him as one of our own who did incredible things in the PL.
Still haven’t and won’t ever forgive Delph. …rat bastard…

I was gutted at the time and going to City who were nowhere at the time was such a huge merk, but you can’t really begrudge him leaving, he gave the club a significant part of his career. He didn’t really owe us anything.

He was so underrated for so many years. What I really liked about him was that he controlled the speed of play. He knew when to slow things down or speed them up, depending on how the game was going. Fantastic player who made others shine.
