  1. From the article: Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Brian Madjo from FC Metz.

The exciting young prospect joins Villa for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

Enfield-born Madjo came through the youth academy at Metz, making his debut for the French side in August.

Capped three times at senior international level by Luxembourg, he has also represented England’s Under-17s.

    Welcome, Brian!

About time, the lad is a world beater and will be top scorer within 2 years and worth £100m easily, what a signing (never heard of him before today)

  3. We’re cooking with these kinds of signings this window. Precisely the kind of transfer I’ve wanted to see work for us more, so same as Allyson, hope he can become something real special here. Best of luck to the guy!

Still want to know if we are paying the full 12 mill upfront or it’s dependant on like milestone or some shit like that

  5. I know people are saying hes the next lukaku, but I think massive patience will be needed here.

Unai will only use him when he is ready.

With a more low key transfer announcement compared to Alysson and Emery not being in the photos taken, I think we can take that as a hint as to how much we’ll see him vs Alysson. Which is not a lot. Maybe this one will be a loan or an academy stint or two. But for a player of his age that’s to be expected. Hope to see big things from him down the line.

EDIT: ok now we have player interviews posted and a bigger announcement… The Emery not being in the photo hint might still be true but maybe he’ll play a role. Who knows

  7. A reporter in Luxembourg described him as “Built like a rock, athletic and technically gifted – a rare find.”

We’re usually pretty good at this, hardly a kings ransom if he turns out to be another Balaban.
