At this point I fear Kovac is starting Guirassy for other reasons other than sporting ones. He might want to avoid disrupting the team's atmosphere by benching him, knowing how big of an ego Guirassy has he might not take something like that well at all. And Kovac might be aware of the risk of Guirassy crashing out and forcing a move, he might genuinely be afraid of being accused of neglecting or "pushing" one of the biggest assets of the team out if he benches him.
I think it's conpletely plausible, remember Guirassy's attitude over that penalty against Juve, who knows how he'd react to being benched. I think he was benched only in 1 or 2 games all season this far, remember how when the rumours of Silva wanting to leave came out Kovac began to start Silva alongside Guirassy and not instead of him. Which made no sense, why would you start two number 9's and leave both our second strikers on the bench(Adeyemi and Beier).
I seriously think Guirassy's ego is too big for this team or maybe he is already bored of his life in Dortmund. But in the form he is in right now he brings nothing good to the team and we can't keep starting him just cause he doesn't want to be benched, we would just be wasting Silva's time here, who shows immense potential btw in both his ability and mentality.
I think a straight loan to Chelsea might do him and the club well, no buy options/obligations, nothing, just a straight loan. We should get Marc Guiu on loan from them who would get more playing time here even as Silva's backup than at Chelsea. He would be more ok with sitting on the bench and way more thankful for whatever minutes he gets than Guirassy. I think Kovac would realy like him, he's really similar to Silva and likes to press a lot. We could have a less toxic character and a more suitable player for Kovac's system in him imo.
At the end of the 6 months we assess the situation, see what his value is on the market(loaning him out might be better for his value than him staying and doing whatever he does now on the pitch), see if he wants to stay or leave, and unlike Anselmino we could sign Guiu permanently in the summer if he does well.

Why would he accept getting loaned? If you talked about selling him then sure, that’s a discussion but loaning him is stupid. Either sell him or work through the issues
