If there is no boycott of the World Championship to the games scheduled for the US will be the evidence that the hope of some dignity in the world is a utopia.
Portugal – my national team has games scheduled for the United States so I have the hope that we will join a transnational movement that may come into existence to boycott the fascism, dictatorship and imperialism of Trump and his administration.

No one is meaningfully boycotting the World Cup, no matter what. The previous editions should be proof of this.

One day this World Cup will be viewed the same way as the 1936 Olympics.

Nobody boycotted the 1978 World Cup when the host nation, ruled by a totalitarian military junta, was murdering tens of thousands of political opponents. Nobody is going to boycott this one either.

If I was from Latin America living in the US I’m not sure I’d be so keen on taking a trip to the stadium if some crazy ICE guys are gonna be parked up profiling the crowds. I’ve been in the US during the World Cup and 90% of people watching the sport on TV are Latin Americans so imagine that’s the crowd looking to attend live games.

We should boycott it. Period. This is worse than Qatar

Please. Eff yes. Go through the qualifications. The whole shebang. Book tickets and hotels and caterers. At the last minute, cancel everything. It would be too late for them to call up replacement teams if more than one country does it. It would be an effing farce.
