I mean I’m pissed we aren’t taking three points home after the second half but it has been peak Dortmund entertainment in some ways…

I don’t know what else to say at this point.
Non-existent build-up, no clear way to attacking and score goals in a consistent basis. Basically long balls and inshallah a player gets a cross and somehow someone is there or just luck rebound, Nmecha’s bangers etc.
Kovac not only is terrible tactically, but he manages to be even worse on setting the team and even worse in subs. Just awfull all around.
Yet the benchmark is so low that even this insane level of mediocrity is enough for people to defend Kovac at all costs. People are incapable of realizing that BL is simply a bad league these days. You don’t need to be insane to make top 4 and its simply as that.
Games like these make the difference. We should have won that game. Frankfurt had like what? 5 chances max. 0.95 xG at halftime and 0.8 from the pen. We are our biggest opponent ourselfs

Same thing as every game this season, boring football and we’re shit defensively (no I don’t care what stats say use your eyes). The coach isn’t good enough, many of the players aren’t good enough, and the ones who are all want to leave.

We are lucky that the Bundesliga has lost a lot of good players recently and is a lot less competitive outside of Bayern compared to the recent years. We’re going to be top 4 quite comfortably with these kind of games.

Overall, not a terrible performance, but the two goals scored in the second half by Carney and Nmecha were a little lucky. Guirassy is obviously an easy target to say is a problem, but the midfield is still a huge part of concern. It relies too heavily on Nmecha to be spectacular. Sabi clearly is not the player he used to be. I hope that Kovac starts punishing the veteran players for poor performance in the same way he punishes the newer signings. Hopefully, to fix the midfield issue, Kaba gets to continue to practice with the first team and start to get minutes. Hopefully, Jobe comes back and starts to show some of what he showed during the Club World Cup. And we actually look for more depth in the summer window aswell as moving on off ozcan and Sabi.
Right now it’s all about the result as we slowly build up match sharpness again by February so on the one hand, I can excuse some of the poor positioning and defending at times due to the break.
The attack though. I will be incredibly disappointed if we don’t make a move there because once more, the 10s and wingbacks just don’t combine well. Surprise me with Inacio or Albert by all means but please do that soon because I need more there. Can include the midfield too but I have faith in Kaba and Jobe would be starting today if he was available for sure.
Overall, an improvement on the result like last season so I can accept it and Frankfurt are a good Bundesliga team. Next up is Bremen and with their issues scoring, I need a big result there

Please let this performance from Silva be the one that makes him the starter in Kovac’s eyes, at least for the next 4-5 weeks.
Let Guirassy regain his confidence with some appearances as a “super” sub.
Sometimes i wonder where the Football from last season with Kovac is. What happend over the summer that we play like this. It isn’t bad if we look at the stats but my eyes and feelings say otherwise. If we want to win anything than this is just not enough. Maybe we should consider another Formation.
That was the best attacking we had all season after the Guirassy sub. Crazy bad defending though! Honestly, I really enjoyed the game. Wish we won, but that was peak Bundesliga.
Everyone blaming the coach and I guess we shouldn’t be at least playing Guirassy but how is it his fault that players are making amateur mistakes? Guirassy with the pathetic foul and Ryerson with whatever that was for a clearance. And Ryerson had a good game despite that one instance.
Without those two chances given away we would have won this game comfortably and had many other chances. Dahouds shot hits the bar and goes in mere minutes after schlotti hits the bar and it goes out. Sometimes football is like that. Guirassy has had his last chance hopefully

Guirassy starting over Silva is comical at this point.
I think Guirassy should be sold, Brandt and Sule should not be extended their contracts, maybe also Can. Resulting to significantly reduce salary cost and I think scouts should look outside Premier league for cheaper recruitment.
