Joe is joined by Dougie as they dissect the Manchester Derby that we all just witnessed – with the home side winning 2-1 at Old Trafford thanks to a controversial offside Bruno Fernandes goal with Marcus Rashford sealing the win for Erik ten Hag.
After going through the analysis and how poor Manchester City were, the two talk about their title credentials and whether they’re in the hunt for the Premier League – despite doing Arsenal a massive favour ahead of the North London Derby tomorrow.

Should Man United's 1st goal have counted? Was Rashford interfering?
(Dougie)
The goals were offside 🙃
It's too early I'm still looking over my shoulder at Spurs and Newcastle.
Delusional Mancs
Yes they lost that game but it was 6-3 not 6-2 😅🤣🤣
I understand where some people are coming from in terms of the application of the rule, but from a football point of view, it's just wrong. If you watch that back and look at the movements of the players there is no way anyone can truly say that Rashford wasn't involved in the play. the Defenders, and the keeper all changed their runs/ lines, and the fact that Rashford stood over the ball as if to protect it from other defenders until Bruno came in Definitely involves him in the play.
Look I'm no city fan but sometimes when you watch football you see things that just don't look right either in a football sense or a moral one and that goal didn't sit right with me.
Joe if you tell me Rashford was onside I will call you a liar…
Man City have always been terrible in dec/Jan. And if VAR doesn't give that goal city prob win. We all knew haaland couldn't keep up that rate
I am an Arsenal fan, that's just offside no doubt about it. Changes their whole defensive shape. Shambles.
the no-ronaldo effect.
Great insight as always by Mark Zuckerberg 👽
AWB was brilliant I think we should keep him he is a great defender
What about Ederson clearly lining up prepairing for a Rashford shot? From still images it really looks like he's expecting Rashford to shoot, he does interfear with some of the Man city players decisions its pretty obvious. Terrible call, Arsenal fan btw.
If United beat Arsenal at the Emirates then they are officially in the TITLE RACE.
MALACIA WAS UNREAL TODAY
To all Manchester United fans, me included, calm down, it’s just the first season, good to be happy, but don’t overhype yourselves please
Question is man city in actually in the title race? If the answer were to be yes then I say yes man utd 1 point behind city are in the title race.
We need to beat arsenal though and hope they or someone else does too
With all the money they have spent if they had a top manager yes under pub haag no chance
No. It is only city and arsenal.
Missing dalot yesterday, i think bissaka was decent but yet horrible when his back against a defender which man city exploited yesterday…. Malacia did good going up on the touchline while also pocketing his attacker..
Ronaldo shouldn't have left united, he should have just kept his ego at bay and it would have been better for him and for united.
This may be the historical inflection point, with the rise of Utd over City.
Dougie's neck/chest hair makes me uncomfortable
Lets hope United get robbed in a game this season so we will hear that ginger dude complaining.. clear offside. Daylight robbery
Got it. So if akanji just slide tackled rashford from behind and broke his leg in half it would be the smarter play because then rashford interfered with the play causing an offside and the red card wouldn’t stand because the player was offside before the tackle. 👍
Parking the bus at home at Old toilet and you call yourself a big club. 😄
Trafford dodgers will still win zilch trophy in the end.
That first goal should have never be allowed to stand. Doesn't matter if Rashford didn't touch the ball, he was actively covering the ball from city defenders and running with it so he was an active player. Have seen it happen to Bayern too many times in the champions league, instant whistle but now the goal gets given, it amazes me how the rules seem to twist and bend to the point where we are arguing about if something, that clearly should be a disallowed goal, should be given or not. Rules need to be clear and easy to understand, why the hell didn't the ref go see VAR. United did deserve the win based on their performance but how they got it was a shambles. They got it gifted to them, can't really call that progress if you can't win your rival on your own merit
The goal was offside, considering watching it live I wasn't even sure who shot it at first. But don't change the fact City was quite blunt the whole game, so I feel it was kind of the right result, but wrong decision. When you barely were in the lead the whole game and you still lost in Xg by a margin, it shows you weren't really controlling the game.
If that first goal was scored against us I would be fuming lol but then again if it was City that scored a goal like that they would take it as well, any club would – its a grey area and it depends on how you look at it. According to the letter of the law its a goal but put it to the eye test – its offside. Swings and roundabouts.
As excited as I am, I agree that if either Rashford or Casemiro picks up a big injury – it's season over, especially Rashford so I don't see us winning the premier league but at the same time I never would have imagined ETH could turn this club around, this quickly and for us to be in this position to even be thinking about title talk… so who knows!
The only thing holding us back now is the Glazers. There's light at the end of the tunnel people and we can see it!
Also nice to see that OT is back to being a fortress and home advantage is a real thing again for us lol
Great video as always but I found the music very distracting in this one for some reason 🤷♂️
The famous rule of play until the whistle comes to mind for United first goal. If the City defenders carried on play as if rashford was onside they would have either forced him to take the touch or cleared the ball.
If united get no injuries in that squad they will give a good fight for the title
Audio still not great guys. Peaking and sounds awful when the boys are speaking loudly. All good when talking normally
Every Manager tells their players to Play to the Whistle so no excuses
If Arsenal, Liverpool, and now Manchester City were defeated, I guess they will beat the Barcuelona team and win this year's Europa League. This is awesome.
As a Man Utd fan I will say this; by the current definition of offside Rashford was not off.
The current definition is awful and he should have been offside, it needs changing
Funny how they'll change the goal posts for Man Utd when it comes to rules especially at Old Trafford
