  1. Funny how fickle some fans are .. only 4 months ago if this guys name had been mentioned there would have been uproar .. but now after a goal in the world Cup suddenly this guy acceptable at united .. logic ?

  2. Its a lot easier to look good on the ball when no one is pressing you and your making side ways 5yrd 10yrd passes. CB have been getting a holiday with 1 mobile striker chasing shadows or just watching the play it out.

  3. Did hargreevs just say de bruyne in the list of Manchester United players to be providing for weghorst πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  4. I think this is a clever and shrewed signing people will be surprised on how good he is. Brings in more workrate and he will make other players have more space with his pressure plus his personality is what United were lacking and now have at least now have a few of.

  5. The bottom line is Loans are only used for extra options, No top team loans a player to be a starter, Wedghorst wont be starting, Lets get that straight.

  6. He gives utd a option up front, he'll run all day pressing and holds the ball up to let others then play off him. He'll play on the shoulder of the last man. Gr8 signing I think

  7. Where were all these people when Burnley paid 22 million for him? They didn’t make story after story after story about how good this guy was, now he’s on loan and United he’s as good as Benzema. You people are a joke

  8. Granted, he’s an β€œaverage” player but he’s indeed a great January window signing for a club that has no maturity or aggression upfront when pressing. He will bring good energy and in the box inter-play. I hope the haters swallow their words.

  9. Arsenal fan here and worried 😧. Weghorst is deadly! Weghorst is the next Ronaldinho. The rest of the premier league should be worried like I am! 😧

  10. Its Man United hes signing for, I would of been a bit surprised if it was Everton, or Some other team fighting relegation, but Man United and these people are making out hes this quality signing, but in reality hes a decent striker.

  11. Botmans hardest game? Hardly when it was lascelles he was playing against, so that was terribly stupid of you, especially if you sat and watched the full game thinking lascelles (who's not even white) was Sven Botman lol. Get another job mate, or go to specsavers for a new pair of glasses.

  12. When Burnley signed him, did it worry anyone? Not really. He wasn’t really on anyone’s radar. Then he went on and score two brilliant goals against Argentina, and suddenly his stats got some attention – his pressing game, his goal ratio, his style. Now that he has signed on loan with Man United, with ETH’s pressing style and ETH improving almost all players, is it going to worry oppositions? Most definitely.

  13. I love how the media keep reverting to the first 2 games of the season as if EtH got them wrong. This view is short sighted for a couple reasons. 1. It was genius to get spanked in both those games, it's called expectation management. 2. He kept the status quo in those two games and it highlighted/underscored he is not the problem, the old ways are the problem β€” This gave massively media pressure on the squad and allowed him to make the "big decisions" for the squad selection AND pressure the board into Signings he required. EtH in my view is an amazing strategic mind both on the pitch and in the boardroom. Coincidentally β€” Mere weeks later the Glazers are upping sticks!

  14. I agree with Tony Cascarino. I do miss players like Peter Crouch, Andy Carroll, Duncan Ferguson, Brian Deane, Mark Viduka, Les Ferdinand, Emile Heskey, Kevin Davies, John Carew, Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer, James Beattie, John Hartson, Niall Quinn, Didier Drogba or EiΓ°ur GuΓ°johnsen who were all good in the air and had a physical presence around to keep centre backs on their toes.
