“I don’t like to make any major decisions or things without speaking to Sir Alex,” Fletcher said.

Sounds like a real quality candidate.

It’s insane how much Manchester United live in the past.

Like yeah respect the past but you can’t keep living in it.

Ferguson just wants another Scotsman in charge. He’d love to get Billy Davies in.

  5. Trouble with United is they still give Ferguson too much Grace. He doesn’t need to give anyone a blessing. The cunt retired years ago, stop involving him.

You have to wonder how much of Amorim’s frustration was linked to this. If the senior management all kowtow to Fergie then what fucking chance does any manager have? He should just be an ambassador, a cranky old man who turns up to the family enclosure still shouting at an imaginary Roy Keane.

  7. Why? What for?

Right there is part of uniteds problem, they’re still not over Fergie retiring.

Every new manager who comes in has to live up to him, his former players are always given interim roles and considered for permanent roles even though none of them are good enough.

If only Ferguson didn’t have that health scare, we could also be throwing his name in the mix as the returning saviour.
