Nice to see the quality at the top level return. Some of the recent PSA form has been a bit weak, and this puts it into perspective.
Just a pity it wasn't advertised very well locally, would have loved to see this in person as it was only a three hour drive away.

That dive attempt from Coll was ridiculously athletic in the way he contorts his body in mid-air so as to prevent a dangerous head-on collision with the wall.
In my mind, I feel as though Coll's game, which had peaked so much earlier in the year when he was taking out Farag multiple times and got to number 1, has diminished considerably. He is not hitting as consistently as before and, to me, his play is a bit sloppy at times. Moreover, I think he has a real Elshorbagy mental problem right now. He has lost to him several times over the past year and this loss will surely sting him, given all he had to do was win a single game. Elshorbagy is a beast and clearly the switch to England and Gaultier's coaching influence has resurrected his game and passion. Coll is going to have to go back to the drawing board and figure out a way to deal with this issue now. I don't like what I'm seeing of him so far this Fall.
Does the comic duo Joey Barrington and Paul Johnson not do live commentary any longer? I miss them. It made matches super enjoyable.
I’ve said on here before, unless SJP gets fit and dynamic off the T she will never compete at this level properly. She’s always been a talented shot player, fact… But her physicality on the court has always been an issue. Even when she was playing in Brum in the chaps amateur league! It frustrates me as she’s got the platform to beat the best but seems unable to just put the hard work in (like the top girls) to get really fit. She looks bigger than ever in this competition. I’m not being harsh or sexist, quite the opposite, I want her to do well. Thank you.

Say what you will but i quite enjoyed this event and the new format. Its good for one off tournaments. It could be like doubles in tennis, no need for the nationality thing
Shorbagy's amazing movement at 14:14 and then he cocks is wrist enough to play straight. He makes it look so casual and easy.
Such a difference between Coll and MES at at the death. Coll was so passive! Lots of nothing shots to the mid court while MES was hunting winners. He deserved the win.
