I hope Karetsas. But it’s unrealistic honestly.
For the cm position I feel we need to look at eichorn more than ever now especially considering his low release clause for the talent he has
With Groß almost gone and Özcan out in the cold it would be nice to get a new cheap CM who would be okay with limited playtime
I feel like people are thinking real life is too much like FM. Just buy the promising young players in every position and you will win everything.
I think a very real example of this is Brighton. They always purchase these kinds of talents and they will always sell players for high amounts, but it doesn’t translate to results on the pitch. Right now they are 14th in the PL. is that something people are really envious of?
Oscar Bobb feels like a splash winter signing, but that’s just my recency bias talking based on our experience getting Scandinavian players during the winter window

Both are young, 19 and 17 respectively, but THIS is kind of signings I wished we’d lean into more. I love Silva, Chuk, etc. but damn Premier League rejects are expensive.
Not a player but Alex Clapham our set piece specialist and assistant coach has left the club.
Personally if he’s in charge of our set pieces then good cause that needs serious work.

I feel because kartesas is a pretty unrealistic this winter we need to go after and pre sign vasilje kostov and sign him permanently in the summer when he turns 18 and if possible sign adzic of juve potentially on a loan because i feel he is the correct profile this team kind of lacks as he can play as cam/cm and even the winger and he is a very good crosser ,pretty creative and good from outside the box and has good vision . I know it’s juve but still I feel they are the club we can exploit the most especially for a youngster like adzic
It’s official pascal gross has left. He had a good run with us and wish him all the best. Hopefully watjen can come back and get some good minutes!
Kovac has confirmed that we won’t be making any purchases to replace Gross as we still have Nmecha, Jobe, Sabi and Ozcan.
Personally I think that’s the best option because we have Watjen coming back in the summer and looks like intend to possibly make Kaba an option. Also with this position it’s best not to jump for a random winter signing with how important it is in our system.
I imagine Ozcan will just take the minutes Gross has had which I’m not opposed to, his energy and physicality is good for closing out games.
I don’t understand why we are putting our faith in Özcan again. There is a reason why he has only played 21 minutes for us this season and he was even left out of the squad during his Wolfsburg loan. I can only hope that Nmecha, Jobe and Sabitzer will stay fit for the remainder of this season, because Kovac would rather start Süle in midfield before giving someone like Kaba a chance.
