He’s a spent force. It would be like signing Gazza in 2026 in the hopes that he can recapture his Glasgow Rangers form.

Emery is a miracle worker but even this might be a stretch. The wages would be the main problem, he’s on an absolute tonne at Chelsea

Oddly, I think he’d be decent at West Ham, but I wouldn’t want him at Villa.
Personally I think we’d be better off trying to steal Brennen Johnson from Palace. Sterling is spent but credit to him for not going to Saudi Arabia.

If there’s a man I want Villa to loan it’d be Julian Brandt. Heavy dortmund core at Villa. Youri looks shattered due to the lack of natural ability we have in attacking roles and if he gets injured I begin to really worry about our midfield outside of Bouba and Onana
