So thus far the rumors are these two strikers, Traore, and Guillerme leaving. Insane first day. Need to pivot to CBs soon….

  2. Idk how to feel about this that seems like a lot for him but I suppose you have to pay a premium in january

  3. Honestly good news. We can’t finish the season with fucking Wilson upfront. Anyone watched Castellanos or Pablo?

As somebody who watches a ton of Serie A… that’s an insane transfer fee for an average striker

  5. 27 (so not past prime), 2 goal 3 assists in 11 league games. Not exactly world on fire stuff….but he’s not 35 so there’s that as least.

It’s January 1: day 1 of the window – why are we set to sign two not old strikers – has Sullivan had a stroke?

  7. Not getting my hopes up on the first day of 2026, but let’s see how this plays out! At least the board acknowledges that we need strikers! Now for the CB’s… 😌

  8. Taty Castellanossss!!!

As a yank it’s crazy to see an Ex-NYCFC legend!!!

I have been keeping tabs him since he left for Europe and he’s the kind of striker that works super hard to press, has the flair of a Brazilian at times, links up well with midfielders and wingers, and is a bit of a shithouser at times, able to get under some players’ skin.

He’s got an engine and an eye for a pass when players are breaking through the backline.

He can be passionate and vocal on the pitch which can cause him to moan a bit when not receiving the right service.

In terms of finishing, he can do it with his right, his left, his head, etc.

While I didn’t watch every game of his in Italy (If a Lazio Supporter noticed something different tell me what I missed!), I noticed that one of his biggest problems at Lazio is, under their system, he wasnt getting the kind of service he would have liked so he struggled to create a lot of his own goals, but could pick a neat through ball and assist well!

I could see him hunting, pressing, and agitating opponents well, with the odd goal here and there from steals. He’s a threat on corners as he could get up well. I just hope his finishing is up to par with the Prem bc we need someone who can grab goals when in front of the net.

Overall, I’m curious and excited what Nuno sees he could do in the squad. I could also see him having decent hold up play while Summerville and Bowen break the lines, linking well with Paq to play decisive through balls.

All in all, for 30 mil I see him as a decent (albeit somewhat expensive) potential signing that could uplift the squad overall, but I’m holding my breath as he’s not a world beater that will definitely give us 15-20 goals a season (hope I’m wrong tho).

  9. I think that my New Year’s Resolution is to start huffing copium. I’m choosing to get excited about this.
