However, that raises the possibility that he may have agreed at the time that changing formation would get better results, but that he refused to do so because he didn't want to lose the players' belief in him. I mean, I kinda agree in some way. If he would have just been changing up the formation every time he faced criticism he would have just looked like he wasn’t in control of the ship to both the media and his players.
It would have been also looked like he lacked confidence in his own system, which people would have pounced on.
