Everton were forced to settle for a point after playing out a goalless draw with Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

After an opening period that lacked noteworthy goalscoring opportunities, the contest livened up after the half-time interval with Beto and substitute Thierno Barry both denied by eye-catching saves from Clarets goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

The hosts had their moments, too, with Jacob Bruun Larsen firing over the crossbar after seemingly springing Everton’s offside trap.

Ultimately, neither team were able to break the deadlock, meaning this would be the first goalless draw between the two sides since September 1924.

  1. Deserve to win but not fucking near good enough itโ€™s Burnley in an Important game surely we go an win that but another three points dropped and no goal for three games

  2. The higher ups give moyes 70 million in January so that he can sign ademola lookman axel disasi ร nd ben Godfrey in January and also put beto in a swap deal plus money for ademola lookman

  3. Poor game toffees should have scored defense is slow getting back next game we need to rock a 4-3-3 this is the thing aswell we are horrible without Illiman Ndiaye and jack and Kieran are options done nothing subs done nothing ever are defense sat their like ducks especially against a team in a relegation position.

  4. Not expecting goal from Everton.
Charly is driving the team but run into roadblocks when reaching opponent box.
Wrong choice of Moyes as reluctant to continue playing Barry or try Omari Benjamin.

Will not be easy against Forest as they played well against City.

  5. moyes got to drill into our players to get into the box more often. we are just not going forward enough. other teams are scoring for fun because they have more attackers in the box than us. we are too defensive. midfielders typically run and pass the ball to the winger and then they just stop and watch if there is any magic or luck happening. this is not Russia roulette ffs

  6. It's up to motes to see some and get some in . Big Sam swapped nearly a full west brom side in January. Moyes is a spender same as mourinho . How's about some wheeling and dealing I'd sell beto n McNeil and get a good striker who knows were the onion bag is

  7. Perhaps we should put things into perspective and say its only his first full season back and consider the absentees. However the squad lacks depth, we desperately need a new forward. I can only see us finishing between 12-10th.

It's better than being in relegation zone, but not good enough.

Grealish will want Europe bare minimum or its "bye bye"

  8. This was a very drab game. Lacked pace and quality from both sides.
You can argue that the excuse or reason for Everton's quite lethargic performance was that we were missing so many key players, especially our most creative trio of Grealish, Ndiaye and Dewsbury-Hall.
It was also a testimony that we need much more quality in depth in our squad. Then there will be a realistic aim for the European places.
