Being Skipper to Liverpool esp under Klopp means more than just the armband, it meant you had to listen to him and trust his judgement because he spoke on behalf of Klopp in-game; The captain is empowered by the manager to make key decisions, even wrong ones.
Which is why you dont or rarely see Strikers hold the armband or moaning why they dont get the captaincy. It means a whole lot more. It meant you had to work overtime and make judgement calls. Which strikers shouldnt be doing. Its either defenders or midfielders who do so.
The one thing i wished Trent, VVD did was tell players to man-mark key opponents for like 5mins or so. Its why we are conceding a little more than we like this seasons.
I dont know, im a LFC supporter all my life but was never keen of Henderson. I personally think he was overrated, average at most. But than again myself just played Sunday league 😂

There’s been more talented players for LFC, many of them, but as a leader there haven’t been many better.
He showed flashes in 13/14 and had bad luck with injuries for a few years but in our most successful years under Klopp, he was front and centre . No coincidence for me.
