Jesus lurking over Viktor.

Given the injury problems right now, sharing out minutes makes sense.
One off the bench for the other and an element of rotation won’t hurt.

Let’s not pretend how injury prone Jesus is, as much as I want him to do well and start, I can only hope there’s no more injuries to the man.

Gabriel Jesus will have to do more than just jog about though.

Kai’s recovery keeps getting pushed back and Jesus hasn’t managed half a season of not being injured since he arrived.
I think Gyok will be fine for minutes

Still doing better than Isak.

It’s over for the league as soon as we start passing to this guy more than 3 times per half

The Portuguese league made Nunez look world class too

I think the solution if everyone Is fit should be; Jesus/Havertz vs lowblocks, Gyokeres vs top teams and champions league.

Said it before, will say it again… Portuguese league is not good to assess strikers. Struggled to score 1 in 2 in the championship. Stupid purchase but we’ll still win the league.

Havertz is our starting striker.
Our main target was Sesko and there’s no way he was coming in to start.
The plan was always to sign a Havertz backup who would be a different option.

I think the real value of Gyokeres won’t show until next season probably. He came from a completely different league with a completely different mentality and style of play. He also came to a team that doesn’t depend on attackers to score. Arsenal also needs time to adapt to having a main forward whose primary reason to play is to receive the ball and score. Both Gyokeres and Arsenal will adapt to each other eventually and it will be scary when they do.

Either the team needs to play differently or he needs to adapt. The way Arsenal play doesn’t fit his play style.

Interesting stat in the article detailing space available when receiving the ball. Gyok is af the top with least space for strikers. I think it shows the low block against us vs him relentlessly working the opp CBs that opens space for wingers n late runs in the box. He is invaluable to the team IMO.
More he plays with a fit Ode, more of his runs will be picked in transition leading to better returns on goals scored stat.

It’s Mikel Merino he’s gotta be worried about
