I’m still happy with the point because we deserved absolutely nothing today, especially with that 2nd half.
We are a really hard team to beat this year but that just makes it even more frustrating when we cant transform that into wins.
Definitely Kobels fault today and losing to another worldie really makes it worse but no one even tried to go for a second after the red which also came from the Coach who clearly valued the point more then the chance for 3.

It’s both a mix of the players playing bad (mental mistakes, bad clearances, etc…) and kovac’s subs and rotations being garbage. This feels like a game we should have won but the players ultimately gave it away.
This is not a “Kobel is shit on the ball” moment.
This is a SIMPLE FUCKING PASS that he fucked up beyond belief. Underpowered, away from the runner AND on his weak foot.
This was such a free win as well. Freiburg created pretty much fuck all before the red card.

Kobel is a really great *goalkeeper*, he’s had some great saves today and I don’t think there’s that much he could’ve done on the goal but holy shit, he’s still a professional *foot*ball player. A minimal amount of ability with your feet should be required.

Idk how people are blaming Kovac for this 1 point. We played a good first half could of been a win had our striker finished one of his many chances.
We got fucked as soon as Kobel played it to the opponent causing Jobe to be standing wrong and receiving a clear red. Playing down a man for basically 40 mins is a massive task.. we ended up tieing due to a wonder goal.
Petition to allow us to suspend Kobel for the game against Gladbach instead of Jobe. Meyer should play instead of Kobel next friday.
I’m usually a pretty avid coach defender and I have been fine with Kovac’s work thus far.
But man his subs are just terrible. What’s the point of waiting until the 90th minute every time to get some players in the game? I would love an explanation because it is just mind boggling to me. His sub choices are never extremely impactful either.
Other than that not a lot to say. A bad red card fucked the game over for us and we just didn’t have it in us to win the game.
If Jobe Bellingham actually decides to leave in the winter. I can not blame him. Fans treat him like shit. Blamed for everything.
Honestly, Schlotterbeck and Silva should leave, maybe this club needs to get humiliated and spend some time in the boring 8-12 spots to finally get their shit together, its getting sad at this point

This team is so goddamn predictable when it will disappoint you.
Kobel with yet another massive brain fart, the same mental switch off mistakes he’s been doing since he arrived.
Yet another winter of instability due to this team’s inability to simply step on the neck of a willing opponent.
Seriously sth needs to be done about subs and the time he introduces the subs. This game could’ve been a bit more aggressive with Silva on and with adeyemi coming after 60th..
Instead he takes Silva off letting guirassy sleep, brings in beier and gross. Man, that was actually infuriating.

Tough game with a massive error that put us in a difficult position. You have to be happy with a point after what happened. Still a poor play from Kobel. He made some great saves but really got bailed out by the offsides call at the end.
I get that we were a man down, but we were completely unable to string simple passes together the last 20 minutes. I am not expecting prime Barcelona, but holy shit guys stop giving it away so cheaply.
And generally speaking, I love the defensive stability of tactic under Kovac, but I’m over the attacking play. I think I would rather go back to a 433 and play with a holding midfielder and true wingers again eventually. As Klopp once said “if we don’t entertain people, why do we play”.
As long as Kobel takes responsibility, I’ll get over it but my word, will we ever experience a good period after the November international break ever again? 3 wins in 7 is so poor from us.
After the intense finish of last season, the Club World Cup and Kovac training I feel like our guys need the winter break. Don’t remember the last time we had so few injuries and they all seem in good shape but I think mentally some time off will do them good.
